Why everyone should talk about care
At Hamilton George Care we really want to do things differently. We understand that talking about serious, family-impacting issues such as inheritance, financial planning or funeral arrangements can be difficult and fraught with potential emotional landmines. However, the earlier you can engage with these decisions the easier they are.
We genuinely believe that when done well, care can and should be life-enhancing. We love hearing from our clients about the small - and big - ways in which we have made an impact on their lives. This is why I got into care. Having worked both privately and in the NHS I could see there was a need for a compassionate and intelligent team that took the time to understand how people live - and have lived - their lives, in order to enhance their future.
We understand that most people don’t want care. They want their independence and ability to live their lives how they want. They want to remain in their home surrounded by their memories and comforts. They don't want to be told what to do by a stranger. They want their cup of tea just so, their table laid correctly and their afternoon tipple.
‘We Understand’
We provide more than just care. Working closely with our clients and their families we take the time to understand exactly how we can provide a unique life-enhancing service. Our team creates bespoke care plans, provides clinical excellence and offers a service that goes above and beyond - whether that means fresh flowers, travel arrangements or even seasonal gifts to brighten their day.
At Hamilton George, we offer a range of services, but our care is uniquely tailored to each client and their family. As we've grown, we've noticed an increasing need for companionship and housekeeping, someone who can provide comfort yet adapt their support as needs change. By encouraging early care discussions, we've seen this service gain popularity, seeing relationships flourish as we match our clients with the best carer for their needs and wishes. This is a hugely important step in the world of care, as we see families engaging and understanding the need to plan ahead.
Our team is eager to discuss care options and provide advice, even if you or your loved ones are years away from needing it. Preparing for care is a vital part of future planning, and it's never too early to start.
